Cristina Leatrice Thomas was born on August 19, 1989, to Steven and Luz Thomas. During her short life time, Cristina completed a nursing assistant program at Compton High School and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree from California State University Dominguez Hills in sociology on May 20, 2011. On May 21, 2011, the Lord called His beautiful angel home.

Cristina leaves to mourn and cherish her memory the two loves of her life, her boyfriend of five years, Layton Bereal, and their son Ashton Bereal. She is also survived by her mother and father, Steven and Luz Thomas; grandparents Caterino Lopez Sr. and Luz Lopez; and sisters Luz, Catrina and Stephanie, the Bereal family and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates and friends.

A funeral mass was held on Monday June 6, 2011, at St. Albert the Great Church, 804 E. Compton Blvd. in Rancho Dominguez, and she was laid to rest at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery in San Jacinto, Calif..
