Lovie Bradley
Lovie Bradley passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, Calif. She was born on June 22, 1926, in Osceola, Ark. to December and Rena Rodgers, one of five children born to this union.
Lovie accepted Christ at an early age and after moving to California, she became a member of Little Zion Baptist Church under the stewardship of Pastor Jerome Fisher where she served for many years on the Mother Board and in the choir. She later joined Second Benevolent Baptist Church under the stewardship of Pastor Harvey Simms and also served on the Mothers Board until her death.
Lovie is preceded in death by her father, December Rodgers, and mother, Rena Rodgers; brothers Sam Williams, R.D. Jarvis and William Jarvis; sisters Annie Jarvis and Mary Rayford; daughter evangelist Betty Bibbs; and grandson Lawrence Morris
Lovie is survived by son Al Hutchison; granddaughter Porscha Lumati (Promise Lumati) of Corona; greatgranddaughters Lajuanna Peterson of Harbor City and Shatoya Lynch (Rodney Lynch) of Rancho Cucamonga; great-great granddaughters Jaide Lumati, Janelle Lumati and Daishane` Davis; great-great grandsons Jacouri Lumati, Rodney Lynch Jr. and Roberto Lynch (Lil Larry); nieces and nephews; friends Pearl Reed and Carolyn Jackson; other precious relatives and friends who were loved by Mother Lovie Bradley.
Funeral services were held on Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. at Second Benevolent Baptist Church, 2237 El Segundo Blvd, Compton, CA 90222.
